December is going too fast.

The first week of December is almost over and I feel like I'm not feeling like I'm accomplishing anything. It's crazy. I am trying to take photos everyday and still so far so good.

December 3...I took a pic of my cute little gingerbread man candle snuffer. Although it turned out ok, I wish I had put more thought into and maybe added a candle burning behind him. Oh well, it is what it is and he's still cute.

December 4...Had my first glass of Egg Nog of the season and it was yummy. Nothing says Christmas like egg nog...and no I didn't add rum, I'm not big on rum in it.

December 5...Today Jack and I were at the grocery store and just couldn't resist how delicious this ice cream looked. So I had a little taste after dinner and it was quite yummy.

December Daily

It's December can you believe it? So far the weather has been better than November. Colder but no rain and even a little sunshine. I'm loving it! Yesterday we woke up to frost, which I love to look at so pretty. I quickly ran out and grabbed a shot of the frost on my hanging basket. Up until the frost my hanging basket was still surviving, I guess from all the rain etc...Don't think it will last much longer.
This year I plan on trying to take at least one photo everyday in the month of December and make a mini album with the photos. Something like what Ali Edwards does every year. My plan for 2010 is do a few months like this.
After 2 days into December I've kept up with it, will see how it goes as Christmas gets closer and things get crazy. Wish me luck that I can do it!
Here are my December photos thus far.

Time Flies

Where does the time go, I can't believe November is almost over already. Life is so busy it just flies by. I haven't started any Christmas shopping yet and it's less than a month away! Crazy!!
I do love this time of year and look forward to getting all the decorations up, going to a couple of parties and our day trip to Vancouver to see the trees at The Four Seasons Hotel
.
Hope you have a great holiday season and enjoy all the preparations like I will.

And for those who were wondering, I did see New Moon and it was fabulous!! Thanks Hayley and Shannon for letting me tag along. We have a date for June 30 and Eclipse, can't wait!!!

New Moon

One week from yesterday is the release of New Moon in the theaters and I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it lives up to all the hype. Now all I need is find someone to go with because I know Jack won't take me. If not I may just go by myself.

November 1

We had a quiet Halloween night, with only 13 trick or treaters at the door. Which is unfortunate because now I'll probably eat most of the leftover candy. Here's a couple of shots I took yesterday/last night.

I want to wish my wonderful friend Rae a very Happy Birthday. Today we are heading out to Abbottsford for the BC Crop for kids. It's going to be a great weekend, a great way to celebrate her birthday and raise money for BC Children's Hospital. Have a great weekend everyone!

iPod...uPod

Tag your it!!!!

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: For those who are guessing -- looking the lyrics up on a search engine is CHEATING

1. To kiss and tell, it's just not my style....
2. She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene...
3. Guess this means you're sorry, you're standing at my door....
4. I guess I just lost my husband....
5. Father's hands are lined with dirt from long days in the field...
6. Just a small town girl living in a lonely world...
7. I wanna drink that shot of whiskey...
8. If I only had two words left to say to you...
9. In my rear view mirror my life is getting clearer...
10. You had my heart and we'll never be world's apart...
11. We were as one babe, for a moment in time...
12. In the morning lights, feels so good by me...
13. Well if you ever plan to motor west....
14. Save, save me from this....
15. The faster were falling, were stopping and stalling...
16. You just walked in, I make you smile...
17. She was staring out the window of their SUV...
18. Closed off from love I didn't need the pain
19. I've had a little bit too much, much...
20. Remember those walls I built....

I'm not tagging anyone in particular, if you want to post this on your blog I'll play along or if you just want to play along here that's great too. Everytime someone guesses a correct answer I'll add the song to my music player.
Thanks and have fun!

Sept 23

Today my heart is heavy as I mourn
the loss of my Grandpa.
He was 92 years old and lived a very full life.
He will be missed but is now at peace.

Aug 14

I'm always leaving card making until the last minute. I find my scrambling at the last minute to make a card or else I end up buying one. So when I found this website I decided that I was going to try and do this so that I have cards made up ahead of time. The website is: http://getsketchy.blogspot.com/ , there's also a direct link on my sidebar.

Today was sketch #1 and this is what I whipped up. Nothing too fancy and not really any techniques used but it's a start.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my version:

July 24

Tag! I'm it.

I think I've done this one before but since Diane tagged me I'll do it again.

This is what I'm supposed to do:
1. Collect the book that you have most handy
2. Turn to page 161
3. Find the 5th complete sentence
4. Cite the sentence on your blog
5. Pass it on to 5 other blog buddies

And here is mine, but it's not very exciting:

"Was she blind?"

It's from the book Swimsuit by James Patterson

I tag:
Renee
Erica
Cyndi
Lois

July 20

So we are finally moved in, now it's just organizing and unpacking. It's going to take awhile as I'm just not rushing and it's too hot. However, one of the perks of our new place is the pool in the backyard. I finally got to go in for a dip today, it was very refreshing. The photo below is not the most flattering but still fun, lol.

July 12

It's been awhile since I've picked up my camera and I'm not even sure I know where it is at this moment in all this moving mess. However, I thought I should update my blog. So, here is a pic of Grandpa and Mom on Father's Day. Grandpa will be 92 on Saturday.

July 8

We have just over a week before we move and still so much to do...I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

Here's a photo of the dining room and part of the living room.

This is the bathroom, which is a pretty decent size:

June 25

Today the world lost the King of Pop, one of musics best.
I'm still in shock and can't believe it. Though nothing should surprise us these days it still hurts your heart to hear about these things. My thoughts and prayers are with his children and family. RIP Michael.

Golden Ears Bridge

Jack & I decided to become part of history and joined the thousands that walked over the Golden Ears Bridge today as part of the opening celebrations. Here's a few photos from the day.
