Cookies!!!

Yesterday I made my first ever batch of shortbread (with a little help from my mom) and they turned out pretty good. If I get around to it I might actually do some more baking for Christmas.

December Catch Up

It's been a few days since I've posted but I have been taking photos everyday. Here's what we've been up to the last few days.

Sat. Dec. 4
On Friday Jack put up the Christmas lights outside and on Sat the sun came out so I snapped a shot of Frosty. We bought him last year on sale after Christmas.


Sun. Dec 5
On Sunday my friend Katrina brought her girls over and we made Christmas sugar cookies. They had a great time!




Mon. Dec. 6
Monday was a pretty quiet day so I took a couple photos of our decorations. This is Daisy's stocking the newest edition to our collection of stockings.


Tues. Dec 7
Tuesday was also a fairly uneventful day. I finished off the last of my Christmas cards to be mailed and dropped them at the post office on my way to work.

December 3

We went to R&D's for dinner, game night and a mini photo shoot. Had a fun night and the girls kicked the boys butt's at Sequence. Here's a shot I got of sweet little Euker. Tomorrow he goes for a haircut and will look all spiffy and handsome. Now he's just cute and cuddly.

Day 2

Tonight was my once a month coffee get together with my scapbooking group. This month we went to a Greek Restaurant in Vancouver. It was good to get out with the girls for a night and have yummy food. The photo below is all of us post-dinner.

December Daily

Today is December 1 and the holiday season is upon us. My goal this year is to take at least one photo everyday for the entire month. I always plan to do this every year and I always fail. I'm hoping 2010 will be the year to do it. In January I plan to make an album to document the photos I take. I know I can do it!!! Happy Holidays everyone!

Daisy's First Halloween

I just couldn't resist this Teddy Bear Shirt I saw at the dollar store. It was the perfect size for Daisy on her first Halloween.

Christmas cards

I told myself this year I'm not waiting until the last minute to get my Christmas cards made. So I started a couple weeks ago and I've made a good dent so far and I'm enjoying as opposed to stressing out because of the time crunch. Here's some of the ones I've done. The first set is Basic Grey's card kit, so easy to do!

I'm back!!!

I know it's been a long time since I posted but I decided to take a break from blogging. Now that summer is over and fall has arrived, I think I'm ready to start up again. The most recent news in our household is that we have a new addition. Say hello to Daisy. Isn't she adorable?

Engagement Party

Monday night we went to an engagement party for my brother and his fiance. It was a great night with lots of yummy food! Here are a few shots from the night.

Olympic photos

Jack & I didn't get a chance to experience the Olympic excitement in February because we were so busy with moving but now that we're getting settled we thought we'd head in for the Paralympics. The hype isn't what it was during the Olympics but it was still fun to take in some of the sights.

Moving sucks

I'm so done with moving, I can't wait for this week to be over. Things have gone smoothly thus far it's just a pain in the butt. Looking forward to getting settled in though and it kinda sucks we're back in The Ridge but we're saving money and that's what counts.

We've seen this beauty in our neighbour's yard a few times, kinda cool...

Haiti, Madonna and stuff

Haiti

As I'm typing this post, I'm watching CNN with Anderson Cooper and I'm just shocked and saddened by what's happening in Haiti. He is showing what they are calling a Mass Gravesite. Now hearing that term you would think it was a burial site where they bury the bodies under dirt. WRONG!! It looks like a dumping ground or construction site. All you see are dirt piles with dead bodies in them, legs and arms sticking out. It's shocking and very disturbing. They have the resources to get bulldozers and dumptrucks to bring the bodies there, why can't they use those vehicles and take a little more time to bury them respectfully. I feel so helpless and wish there was more we can do.
I did download the Hope For Haiti music on iTunes so I know I've done my part even though it's small. This particular performance was really amazing.







So if you can please donate and help end this horrible tragedy in Haiti.
Now let's move on to more uplifting topics....

Birthday Boy

I went to the birthday party of my friend's son yesterday. He's quite the energetic little guy, well he's 2 so I'm sure you can imagine the excitement. He didn't sit still for very long and when he did it was to eat cake. Here's a couple shots from the day.

So this is what Sebastion looks like most of his day it's just a small portion when he gets into mischief. Here he is on Christmas day fast asleep in his new bed my parents bought him, he loves it!

It looks like we need new lamps, while running through the house like a holy terror Sebastion knocked over one of our living room lamps. He's such a troublemaker, lol
