Last week we celebrated a friend's birthday. It was a few weeks late but better late than never. It was great to finally have them over for dinner in our new house.

I'm always leaving card making until the last minute. I find my scrambling at the last minute to make a card or else I end up buying one. So when I found this website I decided that I was going to try and do this so that I have cards made up ahead of time. The website is: http://getsketchy.blogspot.com/ , there's also a direct link on my sidebar.

Today was sketch #1 and this is what I whipped up. Nothing too fancy and not really any techniques used but it's a start.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my version:

This is Ram...he's our landlord's cat. I caught him lounging on the patio furniture, funny cat.

And here he is saying hello, lol

This is Dexter...he belongs to a friend of our landlord. He's so funny and loves to play in any kind of water.

Tag! I'm it.

I think I've done this one before but since Diane tagged me I'll do it again.

This is what I'm supposed to do:
1. Collect the book that you have most handy
2. Turn to page 161
3. Find the 5th complete sentence
4. Cite the sentence on your blog
5. Pass it on to 5 other blog buddies

And here is mine, but it's not very exciting:

"Was she blind?"

It's from the book Swimsuit by James Patterson
